The MRN was put together to promote development, experimentation and use of amateur multi-protocol digital communication systems. We have developed a network that allows radio amateurs using DMR and Fusion to communicate seamlessly. We address the issue of protocol fragmentation among radio amateurs who are interested in adopting digital modes. The MRN allows different modes to communicate in the spirit of amateur radio. Additional (XLX) protocols such as D-STAR and P25 are scheduled to be added to the system.
Interested in creating you own simplex node? There is a group of HAMs here on the MRN that can help you with that project. Just reach out (via email Contact Murphy📩, or by radio), we will provide guidance where to start and provide how-to information to make it happen.
